Dear All,

Greetings from Asian Environmental Compliance and Enforcement Network (AECEN)!

We are pleased to inform you that AECEN is launching its Pollution Control Webinar series presented by Dr. Supat Wangwongwatana, a member of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition’s Scientific Advisory Panel and the Former Director General of the Pollution Control Department in Thailand. This highly relevant introductory webinar is titled “Overview on Status, Sources and Impacts of Air Pollution in Asia Pacific” and will be held on 26 February 2018 from 15:00-16:30 (UCT+07:00) Bangkok Time. The webinar will be conducted ‘live’ with streaming video, which requires strong and reliable internet connection.

Globally, of the estimated 12 million people who die prematurely each year from unhealthy environments, 7 million people die due to air pollution alone. More than 2/3 of those deaths occur in the Western Pacific and South East Asian regions. In this webinar, Dr. Supat Wangwongwatana will explore why Asia-Pacific is a key battleground in the fight against pollution based on the current air pollution situation in the region. He will conclude with an investigation of some of the policies and regulations which need to be implemented to curb the perilous rise in air pollution throughout the region.

We look forward to your registration in our webinar soon.

Thank you and kind regards,
Chochoe Devaporihartakula
AECEN Programme Manager
